Adolescence is a time of rapid growth both mentally and physically. Your child is transitioning toward adulthood and becoming more independent. PreVenture workshops will provide your teen with the opportunity to get to know themselves better while also equipping them with the skills to make safer, healthier choices.

"I was truly amazed to see the shift in my child's attitude following the workshops. I wish I had the opportunity to take the workshops when I was a teenager."

"A key focus of my research is personality, building resilience and early intervention. Every child deserves the opportunity to set long term goals and feel they can realize their dreams. The PreVenture Program was created with this in mind."
Your child will be given a short survey to identify which workshop might be most suitable for them. Invitations will be issued to eligible teens. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
There are a limited number of spots available in each workshop. If your child is selected, they will be invited to participate in 2 90-minute workshops. The workshops will be run by a trained facilitator(s) and take place approximately 1 week apart. Your child will receive a student workbook they can take away afterwards.
In order to ensure a more intimate atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgement, there are a limited number of spots available in the workshops. The good news is research has shown PreVenture to have a herd effect. Students who do not attend the program but go to a school in which the program takes place receive the same protective benefits.
