Our expert trainers host trainings online as well as at our headquarters in the CHU Sainte-Justine hospital located in Montreal, Quebec as well as travel globally to host training sessions for interested parties. This certification will provide you with the tools needed to implement the PreVenture program. An expert trainer will guide you through a look at the evidence base and science behind PreVenture as well as take you through a hands-on practical experience delivering the program. Online training sessions take place over 3 days while face to face trainings happen over 2 days.
*Eligibility – In order to receive Facilitator Certification, participants must be employed by an educational or counselling institution and/or be members of a professional order/association.
This training protocol was used in our research trials and involves clinical supervision by one of our expert trainers. Using the PreVenture Intervention Fidelity and Adherence (PIFA) scale, our expert trainer will observe a certified low fidelity facilitator delivering the intervention and provide feedback and support. We do highly recommend completing this certification along with the certified low fidelity certification.
Interested in becoming a PreVenture Trainer in your community? This training will certify you to train others in low and high-fidelity certifications.

The PreVenture program is appropriate for any youth focused organization. Schools, community centre settings, youth counselling organizations, drop-in centres, youth camps, group homes and youth detention centres are some examples of organizations that have benefited from the PreVenture program.

PreVenture Trainers must have experience working with youth and a background in mental health. Before moving to Trainer status it is important that they acquire experience facilitating PreVenture workshops on their own.
